Quick project done in Houdini and polished in nuke, I wanted to test some blood shading/sim. Getting a good looking blood is kind of tricky because the lighting plays a lot in the final look of the rendering. I used at first the principled shader of disney which is implemented inside Houdini but I didn't get the controls that I wanted so I then use a mantra surface and I mainly played with refraction and its attenuation parameter to get the look that I wanted. For the sim I use the PIC simulation which is pretty awesome!
